Technical Alpine Training

As part of her mountaineering development, Holly completed a technical alpine traverse of the Remarkables under the guidance of experienced mountaineer Dean Staples.

She then travelled to Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park to complete a four-day Alpine Skills Course with Aspiring Guides. During the course Holly developed essential alpine skills including building snow and ice anchors, glacier travel, rope systems, ice climbing, self-arrest techniques, and safe movement in alpine terrain.

These experiences strengthened her technical skills and confidence in New Zealand's alpine environment, forming another key milestone on her journey towards Everest.
